Your Privacy & Data Security — At a Glance
At Prospr, we treat your privacy like a first-class feature.
We only collect two pieces of personally identifiable information (PII): your name and email address. These are encrypted and stored securely on our servers — and we go beyond standard practices to protect your identity:
- Encrypted on our servers: Even if someone had internal access to our database, they would see scrambled, unreadable data instead of your actual name or email.
- Secrets stored safely: The keys that unlock this encrypted data are never stored in plain text, and are kept in a secure secrets manager in the cloud.
- Offline access: On your device, your data is stored locally for offline use, just like a secure notes app.
What this means for you:
No one at Prospr — not even our engineers — can look up your name and browse through your financial
activity.
Your budgeting history stays yours alone.
We do not sell your data, and we will never share your identity or financial info with advertisers or third parties.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
- Name
- Email address
Your PII never includes financial data, transaction entries, budgeting categories, or analytics.
1.2 Non-Personal Data
To improve app performance, we may collect:
- Device type
- App version
- Basic crash and performance logs
This data cannot identify you.
1.3 Financial Data (Non-PII)
Your financial entries, categories, and budgets are not PII and cannot identify you. They are stored offline on your device and synchronized securely with your account when applicable.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data only to provide and improve Prospr.
We use your PII to:
- Create and manage your account
- Authenticate you when logging in
- Sync your offline data across devices (if you opt in)
- Send you service-related notifications
We never use your PII to:
- Target ads
- Sell data
- Profile your spending behaviour
- Build advertising audiences
3. How Your Data Is Stored & Protected
3.1 Server-Side Encryption
Your name and email are encrypted before being saved.
3.2 Secrets Manager
Decryption keys are kept in a cloud secrets manager and never in plain text.
3.3 Device Storage
Your financial data is stored locally on your device to support offline use.
3.4 Access Control
Prospr employees cannot view your financial entries or link them back to your identity.
4. Third Parties
We do not sell or share your PII. We may use third-party services for error reporting, secure authentication, and encrypted backups.
These providers do not receive your financial data and cannot use your information for advertising.
5. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have full control over your data. This section explains how you can exercise your rights, including permanently deleting your account.
5.1 How to Delete Your Account (Data Deletion Instructions)
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the Prospr app at any time. This action is irreversible.
To delete your data:
- Open the Prospr App
- Go to the Menu tab
- Tap on User Profile
- Tap the Delete Account icon (trash bin) in the top-right corner
- Confirm your choice in the dialog box
Once confirmed, your account and all personal data — including PII and financial entries — will be permanently removed from our servers immediately.
5.2 Other Rights
- Request Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Export Data: You will be able to export your financial data in standard formats (coming soon).

6. Children’s Privacy
Prospr is not intended for individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
